This month, our young adults had the chance to attend a one-day workshop on Curriculum Vitae (résumé) writing and interview skills — one of the many ways we prepare them for life beyond the Transitional Homes.

It wasn’t just about learning how to answer tough questions. It was about building confidence, connecting with real companies, and imagining what a future career could look like.

One of our young adults, Diệu from John’s House, shared her experience:

“Even though it was just one day, I experienced a full range of emotions — from excitement and joy to quiet reflection. That day, I learned how to write a Curriculum Vitae (résumé) and understood what I lacked and what I needed to improve. I realized how small I was in the grand scheme of things, which motivated me to keep learning and trying harder.”

For Diệu, the workshop didn’t just bring growth — it brought opportunity. With the support and guidance of our team, she connected with a local company and was offered a job soon after.

“I know that I didn’t get this job because I’m particularly outstanding, but because of the support and guidance of many people who gave me this opportunity to learn and grow. Now that I’m working, I’ve come to see how vast the world is, and how different it is from what I had imagined. That’s why I’m determined to work even harder to learn more. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has given me this chance to study and improve myself.”

Stories like Diệu’s remind us that when preparation meets opportunity, futures are changed.

And this is just the beginning. Every workshop, every skill taught, and every connection made is an investment into the lives of Vietnam’s young adults — helping them step into stability, confidence, and hope for the future.
